When we open the Bible, we find that it forbids us from working hard to improve the standard of living. Rather, the Bible forbids us from using intelligence in this regard.
Proverbs 23:4 says the following:
Do not overwork to be rich; Because of your own understanding, cease! [NKJV]
Weary not thyself to be rich; Cease from thine own wisdom. [ASV]
So, according to the previous verse, the Bible does not want us to improve the standard of living, and therefore you will notice that the developed countries pushed the Bible out of their way so that they could advance, otherwise they would have remained backward as they were during the church era.
My friend, come, leave the myths of the Bible, and come embrace Islam; Islam is the religion of happiness and truth.
